My name is Fobazi M. Ettarh. Previously a school librarian, I am currently the Undergraduate Success Librarian at Rutgers, Newark. Here, I talk about critical pedagogy, my love-hate relationship with libraries and librarians, and activism.
I tend to tweet more often than I blog, and you can find me @fobettarh. I’m locked because on average a woman receives a toxic tweet every 30 seconds and as a Black woman, I am 84% more likely than white women to be mentioned in abusive or problematic tweets. I would like to maintain as much of a safe space for me, and the community that I’ve created as possible.
If you would like to bring my expertise to your institution or organization, please free to either DM me on Twitter or email me at email@example.com for more information.
